This course begins with registration at 1 p.m. on the first day and it ends at 2 p.m. on the last day.
 

This course offers students a chance for an extended experience with playback theatre’s founder, Jonathan Fox as their teacher. It will emphasize skill development, especially in conducting, and also confront the challenging issues that face playback leaders, including company life, performance standards, and community relations. Drawing on specific moments from participants’ playback experience, we’ll study what happens when playback goes wrong—and we’ll also share the joys of this work. The curriculum will include practical examples of pt at work, ethical considerations, and using playback theatre in communities in crisis. This three-week intensive provides a chance for participants from different countries and backgrounds to share their playback theatre experience in an atmosphere of collegiality and commitment.  Graduation, with family and friends invited, takes place on the final day, when students receive a diploma.
