KATRINA PROJECT

Following the disaster wrought by the hurricane, the US playback theatre community decided to offer evacuees the opportunity to tell their stories in playback theatre. Coordinated by Pamela Freeman and Jonathan Fox, the Centre for Playback Theatre organized the project, which sent performing teams to the Gulf, seeded a permanent playback theatre company in New Orleans, made contact with local institutions and fundraised.
