Houston Playback Theatre was created in 1996 by Bob Beare with a handful of actors. Since then we have performed in many different settings (see service list in the webpage for a selected list of venues). Bob left the company a few years ago and we decided to continue. Currently we have 7 members and 5 of us have been at the School of Playback Theatre at least once. We have plans to send the newer two members to the school as well.

We do performances for schools, churches, conferences, and focused groups such as Houston Alzheimer’s association, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, or Baylor College of medicine. We also do public performances once in a while. During 2005 we had 5 performances.
